The eco-entrepreneur who captured our hearts: the Atelier Entre-Peaux
–
Something new on Green by Nature blog! Each month, Cascades will shine the spotlight on a young entrepreneur who stands out for his or her eco-friendly practices and environmental values. This month, we are pleased to introduce the Atelier Entre-Peaux and its founder Maude Léonard.
In 2004, designer Maude Léonard made the decision to go green. In no time at all, her upholstery and leather studio was transformed into a recycling workshop, and she began rooting through her recycling bin to see what she could create with the materials nobody else wanted.

Green from head to toe
Eco-design is much more than just using recycled materials, it’s a lifestyle! As much as possible, the Atelier Entre-Peaux uses donated advertising materials that come from local sources, and most of its office supplies are recycled. Maude also takes her environmental values home with her: she consumes little, opts for second-hand items, recycles, recovers, composts, and uses public transportation.

Maude’s favourite bag: the shoulder bag
It’s the perfect design for our young eco-entrepreneur. It has oodles of pockets that really come in handy, whether you’re at work or on holiday! And she loves the image of the young couple walking in the park on a fall day, because it reminds her of when she first met her sweetheart! 🙂
